Maruti Suzuki had unveiled the Ignis at the 2016 Auto Expo, and it has already been spotted on test. The Ignis which was a  concept has been spotted several times testing. The Ignis will be launched in India during the festive season, which is around September to November 2016 i.e during Dussehra/Diwali. Maruti Ignis India Design

Maruti Ignis India is a new super compact SUV that will be of the size of the i10. The Ignis is based on Suzuki’s fifth-generation platform that is lighter and even more rigid, which means it is a lot more safer.

The Ignis at the moment is a concept, however it does look very appealing. The exterior of the Ignis has a honeycomb mesh grille with a chrome strip running across it. The grille is thick and even the headlamps are squarish somewhat with rounded off edges.

There are LED lights running that form a U-shape. The hood is flat and it doesn’t have any creases or strakes. The side profile looks muscular with the blacked out A and B pillars and the roof rails.

The blacked out alloy wheels also look stylish on the Ignis. The ORVMs come with turn indicators on them. The rear of the Ignis looks stylish and  too with an integrated spoiler and the Ignis even has a black insert of the rear bumper. The glass area at the rear is large and this means that this concept SUV so far looks appealing. Let us hope these are retained on the production version as well.
