2020 is a year which is going to be a boom for the auto industry in India. The new Safety norms and the BS6o emission norm are going to lead automakers to bring new engines into the market. A lot of automakers will bring in completely new vehicles which they have already showcased at international level. There will be a 10% price hike overall which is unavoidable. Let’s take a look at the upcoming cars set to arrive in 2020.

2020 Electric WagonR

Maruti has been testing the electric car for a long time now. Recently it was spotted being tested on the Mumbai streets. Yet, the Electric WagonR will not be same as the one seen during test drives. A new facelift of Wagon R has just arrived. An electric version of the same will be available as a variant in the Wagon R lineup. The motor and battery is now being tested. It will be available around June 2020. The car will give a range of 200 kms and be priced at 10 Lakhs or less.

2020 Hyundai Xcent

This will be a new generation of the Hyundai Xcent. The car will become more spacious. The overall dimensions of the car will increase to improve space. At the same time it will remain under 4 meters.

It will get Blue link and many other features similar to the other latest Hyundai Cars. It will be launched around March 2020. The petrol will get AMT but they won’t be available on diesel. The car will be priced at around 6.5 Lakhs. There will be a 10% hike in the price.

2020 Hyundai i20

Hyundai i20 will be coming up with the facelift of the i20 soon. This is a spy shot of the car which has been seen testing globally. Talking about features the car will definitely get Blue Link. Along with that, there will be a projector set up on the headlights. The grille of the car will also see some change. The light will have a merging effect with the grille at the front. The dimensions won’t change much and so the space inside the car will remain as before. The interior will be from the new Hyundai’s setup which has already featured on the Grand i10 and Venue. Overall the car will look even sportier than before.

2020 Hyundai Creta

The 2020 version of the Creta will be coming soon. The car will be made available in 7 seater version and will be based on the Kia Seltos platform. The car will be of the new generation, tightly packed with features. The design element will be more like the Hyundai Venue.

The car has already been spotted in other countries. The car will come around Diwali 2020. The prices range from 12 Lakhs to 19 Lakhs for the 7 seaters.

2020 Tata Harrier 7-Seater

2019 Tata Harrier Dual Tone

The Tata Harrier 7-seater is more of a necessity than an accessory. The existing Harrier is big enough to accommodate the last row of seats. Tata will make changes to the dimensions of the car and the 7 seater Harrier will be brought to India. The Tata Buzzard was already showcased at the Geneva Motor Show. It will be priced at around 16 lakhs and available around March. A 4×4 version of the Harrier will also arrive soon.

2020 Mahindra XUV500

The XUV 500 will be made on a new platform. The car will improve in terms of handling and the car will get more features. The Korando platform will be used. Space will be also a place where these cars will shine. The car will be launched around November next year. The pricing of the car will see the usual BS6 hike.

2020 Mahindra Scorpio

The New Generation of the Scorpio has been spotted being tested on the streets. The length of this car has been increased. The usual platform on which the car was being made for years has been changed. Space is also a place of improvement for the car. This car will be a better version of the existing Scorpio. The car will be available around June 2020.

Mahindra Thar 2020

The new generation of Thar will not change in terms of pricing. The car will improve a bit on the luxury side. A 2-liter engine will be sported. It will be a BS6 unit and the only cause for price hike. Some safety features will also be added. The power on this car will increase and so finally, the Thar will not feel underpowered. It will be available around mid 2020. The pricing structure is not fixed yet.

2020 Honda City

The car will not increase in size but it will get more features than ever before. This car will see a change in design language. The car will be a mix of Civic and Amaze. It will also get connected cars features. The look and feel of the car will shift from sporty to premium. Handling of the car will change due to the new chassis that will come into work. The BS6 engine will be a talking point. It will surely get the feature of the Honda Civic wherein the infotainment displays the side of the turn indicator. The car will arrive around March 2020.

This will remain to be an India exclusive product.

2020 Renault Duster

The New Generation Duster is under development. The facelift has come out this year. The pricing of this car will be from 10 to 13 Lakhs. There is news that the diesel engine might be discontinued on the Renault Duster. This is very contradictory to the fact that the majority of sales of Renault Duster comes from the diesel engine.
