There are so many bikes in different categories, variants and different price points available in India. But the big question of the bikes is, being affordable because reasonably priced bikes are the ones that move the most units in India.

For the following bikes we have kept the maximum price range of ₹1.5 lakhs and listed out the best available in that price range-

Bajaj Dominar 400

Bajaj Dominar 400 blue motion 5

The Bajaj Dominar uses a motor based on the KTM 390 engine. The difference is that the Dominar uses a different cylinder head and is tuned differently from the 390. The Dominar puts out a respectable 35bhp and 35Nm of torque, which is not as powerful as the KTM but it’s no slouch. It is also one of the best-equipped motorcycles here, coming with dual-channel ABS, a powerful LED headlight and a digital LCD instrument console. Bajaj Dominar 400’s price in Mumbai starts from ₹1.48 lakh (Ex-showroom)

Yamaha Fazer 25

Yamaha Fazer 25 front three quarter

The Fazer 25 shares its engine with the FZ25. The air and oil cooled engine produces 20bhp and 20Nm of torque. This bike’s main advantage over the FZ comes in the form of added wind protection, along with its 14-litre fuel tank, makes the Fazer 25 a good long-distance motorcycle. Like the Dominar 400, this bike also gets an LED headlight. Unfortunately, ABS is not an option that is offered on this bike by Yamaha who offers it else where in the world. The Yamaha Fazer 25’s price starts from around ₹1.28 lakhs (Ex-showroom, Mumbai)

Bajaj Pulsar RS 200

The Pulsar RS 200 uses a fuel-injected version of the 199.5cc engine seen on the NS 200. The Pulsar’s liquid-cooled motor churns out 24bhp and 18Nm of torque. The RS also gets ABS, though it is only a single-channel system. A digital-analogue instrument cluster and twin projector headlamps mean that this bike features decent levels of equipment; although the bike’s design may not be to everyone’s taste. The Bajaj Pulsar RS200 price in Mumbai starts from ₹1.26 lakh (Ex-showroom). The Pulsar RS200 is available in only 2 variants. The top-end variant Bajaj Pulsar RS200 ABS is priced at ₹1.37 lakh.

This motor has a strong top-end without sacrificing low and mid-range power with peak power at 10,000rpm. While the R15 misses out on ABS, it does get a slipper clutch.

LED headlights and an LED tail lamp are also standard on the R15. The Yamaha YZF R15 V3’s price in Mumbai starts from ₹1.27 lakh(Ex-showroom). YZF R15 V3 is available in only 1 variant.
