Nissan Qashqai

Nissan has plans to launch the X-Trail and Qashqai in India. These are two SUVs that the brand will be introducing to enhance its reach. There is also the Nissan patrol, but then that won’t get the numbers and that shall be more for brand building. The Nissan Qashqai is a five-seater crossover and this is the second-generation one that is due to be launched in India.

The Nissan Qashqai’s first generation has been highly successful in the European market. Nissan will be launching the Qashqai at a price range of INR 17-24 lakhs.

This will be placed above the Nissan Terrano and it shall be a lot trendier and feature loaded. The Nissan Qashqai comes only as a five-seater and the engine on it will be a lot more powerful than the Terrano.

It is likely to be a 1.6-litre dCi engine and this will be manufactured in India as well.

Nissan will get features like keyless entry, push start and stop, infotainment system with touchscreen, Bluetooth, reverse parking camera and satellite navigation. Nissan Qashqai will be coming with 4×2 and 4×4 variants and this is likely to make a new segment as there is no crossover at this price. The Yeti comes the closest amongst the current competition.
