The Vitara Brezza looks like a proper compact SUV. It has a raised stance, tall proportions and short overhangs at the front and rear. There is a lot of chrome treatment on the Vitara Brezza. This has been done to make it more attractive and eye catching.

The Ciaz is a proper sedan and has a calm look which is pleasing to the eyes as well. It has a long bonnet and hence looks premium. The Ciaz has a low height and hence looks long as well.The taillamps of the Ciaz are longish ones. Overall the Ciaz looks more premium.

Maruti Vitara Brezza vs Maruti Ciaz Interiors

Maruti Vitara Brezza has neat interiors. The interiors have an all black theme. They are not flashy but subtle. The rear legroom and boot space is good too. The seating position is high and you get a commanding view of the road ahead, in a typical SUV fashion.

The interior styling of the Ciaz is subtle but feels sophisticated.

The black and beige interiors of this sedan makes it feel airy. The steering is shared with other models but it gets a leather wrap as also the gear knob. The top variant gets leather upholstery also.

This is one are where there is a significant difference between both vehicles. In terms of space, the Vitara Brezza offers good headroom, given the SUV styling and legroom too. It offers a generous front and rear legroom and three people can sit in comfortably at the rear. The Brezza is wide hence it feels more spacious.

The Ciaz is not stingy on space at all. There is decent head room and very good leg room available. The seats are not the best in its segment but provide good comfort.

The boot is large at 510 litres and can fit in quite a lot of luggage with ease. This makes it a very practical sedan that can be used for weekend getaways too.

The Vitara Brezza gets Airbags and ABS, automatic climate control, push button start. It also gets a touchscreen bluetooth audio system with steering mounted controls.

The Ciaz is comes loaded with features like push button start, keyless entry, touchscreen bluetooth connectivity, navigation, reverse parking camera and sensors. It also has an autodimming inside rear view mirror

Maruti Vitara Brezza vs Maruti Ciaz Engine and Transmission

The Maruti Vitara Brezza comes with a 1.3-litre diesel that churns out 74bhp of power.

There is no petrol option yet, but is expected soon. The Vitara Brezza will also get an AMT option soon.

But for now, it only the diesel manual which is available.

The Ciaz has a 1.4-litre petrol engine that produces 90bhp and 130Nm of torque. It also comes with a 1.3-litre diesel engine and gets SHVS technology too. Now, this is the hybrid start stop system that even has brake regeneration.

The Vitara Brezza returns about 16km/l in the city, while on the highway it would be about 19km/l. The Maruti Ciaz petrol returns 15 km/l for the manual and 13.5 for the automatic. The diesel returns upto 27 km/l and this is due to the SHVS technology.
