The Jeep Yuntu is expected to be launch by the second half of 2018. The Skoda Yeti will make its debut by the end of 2017.

Jeep has been working on its new concept SUV which is the Yuntu. This vehicle is specifically being designed for the Chinese market. The Jeep Yuntu is a futuristic looking SUV. The front end is reminiscent of the Grand Cherokee and also has the signature seven-slat grille that instantly is recognizable as a Jeep. The headlamps are very sleek and slim and these make it look very upmarket and modern. The squarish wheel arches are found here too just like other Jeep models. From the side it has a high belt line and a longish glass area. The rear is also very stylish with sleek taillamps. The Yuntu has a very Urban look.

The 2018 Skoda Yeti will be built on a new platform which is different from the existing one. It will be based on the MQB platform which Volkswagen also uses for the Tiguan. The new Yeti will be bigger in size as compared to the existing vehicle and will also look more premium. It will have a longer wheelbase and a better ground clearance as well. The all-new Yeti will have the same basic design but will be based on Skoda’s new design language.  Skoda has been doing a lot of research for its design and styling it seems it will be inspired from the  from the Vision S concept, on which the Kodiaq is also built.

Jeep Yuntu Vs 2018 Skoda Yeti Interiors

The Interiors of the Jeep Yuntu are yet to be revealed. However, we expect it to have sleek and very stylish interiors, just like the exteriors. It will have straight lines inside. The dashboard will be neat with a squarish layout. It will come loaded with contemporary features such as a big touchscreen with apple car play and Android Auto. It will also feature a reverse camera and all round parking sensors. This will be a seven seater SUV.

The 2018 Skoda Yeti will have contemporary interiors. These new interiors will be inspired form the current generation Skoda cars and will be practical and functional too. The New Yeti will be maximizing on space and the boot size will be increased. The Yeti will come with most contemporary features such as push button start, large touchscreen audio system, multifunction steering wheel, cruise control and reverse parking camera. It will will also get a large panoramic sunroof and ambient lighting.

Jeep Yuntu Vs 2018 Skoda Yeti Specifications

The Jeep Yuntu is expected to come with a 1.4-litre MultiAir petrol engine for the Chinese and American markets. The specifications are yet to be revealed. It will also get a plug-in hybrid variant. This is a technology that Jeep is looking at getting in its future products. The Jeep Yuntu may also get a 1.6-litre MultiJet-II diesel engine, for European markets. Transmission options will include a six-speed manual and a six-speed automatic transmission.

The 2018 Skoda Yeti will come with a 1.4-litre TSI petrol engine with around 140bhp of power. This engine will also get a hybrid version. Skoda engineers are working to find the best solution for hybrid technology. The other engines will also be from the current VW line-up and will include a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder turbo petrol.  There will be two diesel engines on offer. One will be the 1.6-litre unit with 120bhp and the other will be a 2.0-litre one that will churn out 180bhp. Transmission options will include a six-speed manual gearbox and the dual clutch DSG automatic gearbox, available on both petrol and diesel versions. There will be optional four wheel drive available.

The Jeep Yuntu is expected to be priced around $25000. The Skoda Yeti will be priced around $22000 and $25000. Both these SUVs will be very contemporary and they both with come with hybrid variants as well.
