Given the growth of tourers in motorcycles, in the recent times, Yamaha has realised that they cannot be left behind in this race and hence have unveiled their new sport-touring motorcycle Tracer 700. The Tracer 700 is a sport-tourer based on the MT-07, the naked motorcycle.

Yamaha Tracer 700 Styling and Design:

The Tracer 700is essentially based on the same frame that underpins the  in the MT-07 but with certain tweaks to make it a comfortable long distance tourer. The swingarm of the Tracer 700 has been extended by 50mm, which also increases the wheelbase to 1,450mm as opposed to 1,400mm of the MT-07. Suspension also get minor changes so as to gobble up long distances with less fatigue. The front forks get a longer travel of 140mm. The size of the fuel tank too has grown from 14 litres in the MT-07 to 17 litres in the Tracer 700.  The Trace 700 gets twin headlamps and an adjustable windscreen along with hand guards. These elements make it a distinct tourer, visually. It will be getting panniers and a rear box as accessories.

The engine is cradled in a diamond frame. Braking power comes from 282mm dual discs up front and a single 245mm disc at the rear. ABS comes as an option too.
