Expectation from the Honda launch!

Recently Honda sent out an invite where they have announced a big launch on the 30th September. A few weeks ago they had launched the BS6 Honda Hornet in its 2.0 avatar. This was a major launch for the company and now they are gearing up for another big new product announcement. Get to know all about the Honda 300cc bike that is expected to launch under this.

Invite

The invite is a plain black invite which does not reveal anything about the bike. It just says a Majestic launch. This might be the only indication to that the bike might not be from the commuter segment. If we take a look at Honda’s line up only the CBR 250 which was available in the BS4 avatar is remaining to launch. There seems no indication of Honda venturing in the 250cc segment which its is so heated with the naked street motorcycles.

Honda 300cc bike

The expectation about the Honda 300cc bike rose as there is a news that the bike that will launch will be a 300cc plus bike. The first thought is the Honda Rebel 300. This is a cruiser style motorcycle which is aclaimed worldwide and might just be the perfect bike for the India Market.

Also, the competition in the cruiser segment is less and this might become the perfect opportunity for Honda to gain an upper hand over the Royal Enfield Meteor and the Bajaj Avenger. The Honda 300cc bike might have a liquid-cooled engine with high compression which might keep the performance at par.

Honda ADV

Honda had also announced previously that they might bring 500cc bike in twin-cylinder format to India. To begin with, they might bring in an Adventure bike as this segment is currently very heated up in India. This Adventure bike might become the low maintenance bike which most of the adventure enthusiast might be looking for.

This want is pure offroading vehicle but might be leaning towards the adventure touring style. There might be no spoke wheels and raised handlebars for starters. With such bike under Honda’s stable we might soon see bike market developing in the favour of Honda.

Lastly if at all the CBR is launch there might not be any changes to its design. The bike will get a new BS6 engine with slight changes to the power figures.
