2017 Mercedes-Benz C-Class facelift Release Date and Price

2017 Mercedes-Benz C-Class facelift is in the making as the Stuttgart automaker shall complete three years.

The new-gen C arrived in 2014 in US and Europe setting new standards. This new saloon has been bigger in dimensions and lighter than the outgoing version. The C will get an upgrade in Europe and the US soon.

Expect the C to make an entry in US and Europe the end of 2017. The C’s upgraded avatar will be ready to compete with the A4 and the new 3 as and when they come in.

2017 Mercedes-Benz C-Class facelift Design 

Facelift version of the C will have cosmetic upgrades. It gets a new set of headlamps that will be resembling the new E-Class. The white LEDs surround the twin bulbs for the headlamp, while the yellow LED runs on top of the headlamp. The side profile remains unchanged. Other than that the only difference is that of the new alloy wheels. There is an addition of side skirts and there are additional chrome highlights too. The rear bumper also gets some cosmetic tweaks, but these are minimal and you won’t be able to make the difference unless you see both of them back to back. So, in a nutshell it is majorly the front of the C that will undergo an upgrade. the rest of the styling is more or less similar.

2017 Mercedes-Benz C-Class facelift Interior

Expect most of the interiors on the C-Class to remain the same. There won’t be a major change in the dashboard layout. There shall be the same three spoke steering wheel, and the centre console might get some updates. The 2017 Mercedes-Benz C-Class might get some changes in the interior upholstery and some additional equipment from the new E-Class could be added as well. There could be autonomous driving on the highway, but there isn’t any official word from the Stuttgart based automaker. As this is a cosmetic upgrade, there is no change in the space either.

There won’t a sea of changes on the facelift version. The Burmeister system will continue to be offered on the higher end variants of the C.

2017 Mercedes-Benz C-Class facelift Engines

The titivated version of the C-Class will get the similar set of engines. For the USA market it will be the petrol version of C300, C350e plug-in hybrid, C450 AMG and the C63 along with the S version. For Europe will continue with the petrols and even the 2.2-litre diesel and 3.0-litre V6 diesel as well. Maybe a slight bump in power can be expected, but there won’t a be a major difference. The 9G-MATIC will be coming on all the C-Class sedans with this facelift. Mercedes will not want to fiddle with its strong engine line up and for the US it is one of the best the Stuttgart based automaker ever had.

2017 Mercedes-Benz C-Class facelift Price

The price of the tweaked will go through a price increase. For the US market, the current price is about $39,000, expected it to go to $42,000 for the base variant. While in the UK, it will rise to £28,500. Again, there is no official word from the company but a premium is expected on the facelift.

2017 Mercedes-Benz C-Class facelift Competition

The C facelift shall lock its horns with the new Audi A4, 3 Series and the Jag XE. Volvo’s S60 is a competition too, but it should be old by then.
