2017 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe Release Date

One of the most stylish looking coupe will be hitting the streets soon. The new 2017 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe is on its way to North America soon. Mercedes has been successful with coupes here, and now it will be get a smaller coupe, between the CLA and the C. Now, as the three Germans battle it out by launching all possible kinds of models, Mercedes will want lead from the forefront. Soon enters the new 2017 Mercedes Benz C-Class Coupe.

2017 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe Release date

Sometime in the second half of 2016, is when the C-Class Coupe will be made available in the US. This is based on an all new platform and will be made available at a similar time in North America and Europe.

2017 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe Price

Prices for the C-Class Coupe will remain closer to the C-Class sedan. So, it will be hovering about the $40,000 mark. This won’t change much.

2017 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe Engine

North America is a very important market for the C-Class Coupe. Mercedes will plonk in the C300 engine from the sedan, then a mid-variant will be the C450 AMG and this will be finished with the C63 AMG. The C450 will churn about 362 horses and the C63 will produce 469bhp and  503bhp (on the S variant). Expect the proper AMGs, others will have a  speed limit of 155mph, while the AMG will go up to 180mph. Merc has been replacing its 6.2-litre petrol engine with this 4.0-litre V8 for the AMGs that produces 503 horses.

The design of the 2017 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe will be inspired from the S Coupe. This will be the compact version of the luxury coupe that has been doing numbers for Merc. The bonnet area is the same like the C sedan, however post that is where it is all brand new. The coupe gets a sloping roof and aggressive styling. With this sporty styling, Merc will be focusing majorly on the North American market with this new coupe. This is likely to be a major hit, especially for those who loved the S Coupe but cannot afford it. What makes it more mouthwatering for us, the drive with the C63 S Coupe.

We loved the S63 Coupe, but the C with its smaller wheelbase and light body weight will be a lot more fun. The coupe being a tad longer than the Honda Civic, it oozes out power on even blipping the throttle.

2017 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe Interior

The interiors will be shared with the C sedan. This is certainly a benchmark in its segment with regards to quality, fit and finish and a lot more aspects. the Coupe doesn’t have too much rear seat space and tall passengers will have to snug in. MB had to cut off some space for a sporty design. And it is no harm done, as this segment anyways has been tight on space for rear and even on boot size.

This new coupe will rival the BMW 2 Series. For Audi, well we are sure they will soon be getting this segment as well.
