2017 Hyundai Verna Hatchback Unveiled

Hyundai, the Korean major has unveiled the 2017 Hyundai Verna Hatchback in China. The car will be launched in early 2017 in China and will also be launched in the US. Hyundai is betting big on the all new Verna and its hatchback version will be available in a few markets around the world. The 2017 Hyundai Verna hatchback will be called Verna RV in China

2017 Hyundai Verna Hatchback Design

The 2017 Hyundai Verna Hatchback is similar to the sedan in many aspects. It gets the same front grille which is a lot larger than before and the pulled backed headlamps even have daytime running LEDs. The large front grille on the Verna hatchback makes it look stylish and larger. The fog lamps have been changed and are similar to the sedan. They now look more appealing and premium in terms of styling. The hatchback will get the same diamond-cut alloy wheels as the Verna sedan. A longer wheelbase is present for more interior space. From the rear the Verna hatchback looks very similar to the Elite i20. The door pillars are blacked-out and these are matte black. At the rear, the license plate is moved to the bottom, as the case in the Elite i20. This is inherent to the Fluidic Sculpture 2.0. The 2017 Hyundai Verna hatchback comes with a freshly-designed rear bumper, and new taillilamps. This seems inspired by the 2017 Hyundai i30.

The Hyundai Verna has a longer wheelbase now hence it also gets more interior space. Leg room for rear passengers is better. The interiors on the whole are all new and are similar to the sedan version.  Expect several segment first features as some of the Elantra features will trickle down into the new Verna. The 2017 Verna Hatchback will get dual airbags and ABS as a standard feature. The top end model will get six airbags.

There shall be sunroof, touchscreen system with maps and reverse camera. Dual-zone climate control could also make its debut on the new Verna. A sunroof shall also be available on top end versions..The 2017 Verna Hatchback will offer a lot more features and bells and whistles than what it has been.

2017 Hyundai Verna Hatchback Engines

The Hyundai Verna Hatchback will be powered by 1.4-litre and 1.6-litre petrol engines and will be producing between 90-125bhp of power. The petrol engines will get GDi technology as well. These engines will be mated to six-speed manual transmission, .The 1.6-litre engine will be getting an option of six-speed automatic. As the requirement of automatics is on the rise, Hyundai will introduce the six-speed automatics for better performance and fuel-efficiency. The 1.4-liter petrol develops 100bhp whereas the 1.6-liter petrol churns out 123bhp.
