2017 Hyundai Santa Fe upgrades

2017 Hyundai Santa Fe was showcased at the Frankfurt Motor Show, where it did gets some updates.

This is a seven seater crossover from the Korean automaker that underwent some changes on the 2017 model year with some cosmetic changes, to make it look fresh. This is moreover a facelift as it has even been made safer and luxurious too. The strength and rigidity of the chassis has been increased by changing some of the elements with high strength steel. Expect Hyundai to introduce the new Santa Fe in Europe and USA by late 2016, and deliveries should start by early 2017.

There won’t be a change in the pricing. Expect the base model to commence at $31,500.

2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Specifications

There is no change to the tech specs of the Santa Fe. For the US, it will continue to have a  3.

3-litre V6 engine that will churn 290bhp of power and will come mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The short wheelbase version will be called as Sport and it will have a 2.0-litre (240bhp) turbo or a 2.4-litre (190bhp) naturally aspirated engine also with a six-speed auto. For Europe it will be the same 2.2-litre diesel engine with 197bhp of power. Both will be offered with a six-speed manual and automatic transmission options.

Changes on the new Santa Fe are visible. To begin with, it has a new large front bumper that stands out and looks different compared to the previous one. It does LEDs on the bumper and a strip in the headlamp too. The new front grille is the bigger version of the Tucson. Hyundai’s new SUVs get the same family look. The double trapezium chrome exhaust tip has been added and then there is also an option of 19-inch alloy wheels, which can be picked up instead of the regular 17s.

It comes with automatic parking, 360 view camera, panoramic sunroof, tyre pressure monitoring system as optional features. Then there is an option of Infinity Premium Surround Audio (12 speakers) with the power of 630 watts and surround sound QuantumLogic Surround. Hyundai is now offering an eight inch touchscreen system on the Santa Fe now.
