2018 Mahindra XUV500 and U321 launch soon

The Mahindra XUV50 facelift launch and U321 launch is due till March 2018. The company has planned refreshes for three of its UVs in 2HFY18 and the launch of its all new MPV U321 as well. This means that the XUV500 can come in sometime soon. The Mahindra U321 will not be launched this year, and is due sometime during the Auto Expo. The brand is looking at adding more updated products into its portfolio.

Recently, Mahindra had refreshed its TUV300 (1HFY18), KUV100 NXT and the Scorpio 2018.

The XUV500 will be the next product in line. The Mahindra XUV500 is the next in line. This will get exterior minor update and a more powerful diesel engine. This will be the same 2.2-litre mHawk but it will now churn about 170bhp and 360Nm of torque.

This engine will also be offered with a 6-speed manual and automatic options. There will also be a petrol engine too. This will come with an automatic and shall be offered in a single variant. The leather upholstery shade will change too. These are the major changes on the XUV500. The suspension set-up will receive minor tweaking for better handling of power and brakes will get an upgrade too. This will make the XUV500 an evolved product.

The Mahindra U321 will be the next product in line.

This is an all new luxurious MPV that will go up against the Innova.

Powered by a 2.2-litre mHawk engine, this will churn about 140bhp of power and shall come mated to a six-speed manual and automatic transmission option. This MPV will have projector headlamps, daytime running LEDs, 16-inch wheels, touchscreen system with all the bells and whistles.

Mahindra’s Xylo wasn’t a major success story and after learnings it will get a lot more evolved product.
