Tata Safari Storme automatic by year end – EXCLUSIVE

Tata Motors has finally completed the testing of the 2.2-litre VariCOR engine with the six-speed automatic transmission. This will be powering the upcoming new Hexa, Xenon and even the Safari Storme. Tata has plans to launch several new vehicles in the coming years, but the automatic version of the Safari Storme should come in by this year end.

Tata Safari Storme Automatic Engine

The Tata Safari Storme 400 was launched by the end of 2015 and this year we will expect the Safari Storme to come in. The automatic version of the Safari Storme will come with a 2.

2-litre VariCOR engine that will churn about 155bhp of power and 400Nm of torque. The Xenon could get the 150bhp version of the VariCOR and get the automatic transmission. The Safari Storme will be coming with a six-speed automatic transmission. This will be shared with the new Hexa, once it is launched.

Tata Safari Storme Automatic Variant

Tata will be offering automatic only on the top of the line, VX variant of the Safari Storme. As most of the automatic buyers need all the features, Tata Motors could play it smart with the Safari Storme.

Tata Safari Storme Automatic Interiors

There will be some minor changes on the Safari Storme automatic. There should be a new driver information system that will come on other Safari Stormes as well. The Safari Storme will be coming with the same set of interiors other than this.

There might be a chance to see a touchscreen infotainment system, however we do not have assured details. There won’t be a major change in the interiors of the Safari Storme automatic.

Tata Safari Storme Automatic Mileage

Tata Safari Storme has been highly fuel-efficient and compared to the other ladder frame SUVs. This will return about 10km/l in the city and 14km/l on the highway with the automatic transmission.

Tata Motors will continue to sell the Safari Storme with the same set of colours. Urban Bronze, Astern Black, Pearl White, Arctic White and Arctic Silver.

Tata Safari Storme Automatic Price

The Tata Safari Storme Automatic will be priced at INR 17 lakhs (on-road). This will be in the Creta price range.

Tata Safari Storme Automatic Launch Date

The Safari Storme should come in by this year end. This is likely to be a soft launch. The Safari Storme automatic will be launched immediately after the Hexa has been launched.
