Honda Motorcycles and Scooter Limited is working on a new 125cc scooter that will be a lot trendier, stylish and contemporary than the currently sold Activa 125.

Honda at the moment only has the Activa in its 125cc range and the Japanese automaker will be adding more 125cc scooters to its fleet.

This new 125cc scooter will have bigger wheels, more brownies and even more stowage space as well. The new 125cc scooter will be churning about 10bhp of power and will come with a CVT (continuously variable transmission). Honda is dominating the scooter segment and at the moment it has three brands (Aviator, Dio and of course the Activa). Honda is looking at adding more spice and zing to this portfolio by launching an all new scooter brand, which will be targeting the youth. The Japanese bike maker even has plans to get a scooter for the rural market. This will be a hybrid version of a scooter and a moped.

“Honda is looking at adding more scooters and commuter bikes in its range.

This will be helpful for the brand to enhance its sales numbers and reach out to a different set of audience as well,” stated a source close to the company.
