The plan that Datsun earlier had for the RediGO was to introduce it in the first quarter of 2016, but now our sources have confirmed that the brand has delayed the launch of the RediGO. Datsun will first be introducing the GO-CROSS as the GO+ has been doing well for the Japanese automaker. There is a speculation RediGO didn’t come with as many features as the Kwid, and now the company will be adding more features to the compact SUV.

The RediGO will be Datsun’s new product that will be more feature-loaded and a bit higher in pricing too. The RediGO will come with 1.0-litre engine and it will come only with a petrol to begin with. The RediGO will come with features like in-dash music system, electrically folding ORVMs, ABS and airbag/airbags. There is likely to be a touch-screen infotainment system like that on the Kwid.

The RediGO has a ground clearance in excess of 180mm and looks a lot more futuristic than rugged. It continues to have the Datsun’s mesh grille and this will be the new design language for all the upcoming Datsun vehicles. The GO-CROSS is the first vehicle to get the aggressive front and this design language will be seen on the RediGO as well.
