Mahindra could name the Quanto facelift or the Genio as the Cresto or the Imperio. The Indian utility vehicle manufacturer is looking at introducing the Quanto with an all-new name. When we had asked the company officials about the Quanto facelift, they didn’t speak anything on it.

Could this be an indication that the brand doesn’t wants to show it as a Quanto facelift, as it hasn’t done that well.

Mahindra Quanto facelift front

The Quanto was more like the shorter version of the Xylo and this didn’t work out that well for Mahindra and Mahindra. The utility vehicle manufacturer will get several changes on this compact SUV, as it will be targeting urban buyers. This new SUV will be coming with features like LEDs, in-built infotainment system with bluetooth, USB and aux. The new compact SUV will be powered by a 1.

5-litre diesel engine mHawk100 that will churn about 100bhp of power and will come connected to a five-speed manual transmission.

Mahindra has plans to get in total three SUVs, two are all-new and this will be the third one. It will be placed above the TUV300 and this will be made for city users as it has been designed in that manner. It shall also get an air-scoop on the hood to make it look muscular. The Quanto facelift is due to be launched sometime next year and this will be one of the major launches for Mahindra as the UV1 (compact SUV segment) is one of the fastest growing segments today.
