It has been successful in the Indian market, and one of this most popular product is the Vento. This car is known to have a strong engine, great gearbox and nice features. Volkswagen has already announced that they are going to invest a lot for its future in India with the India 2.0 project. Platform and Design

The new Vento launched in Russia shares the platform of the Polo. The new Vento gets a sleeker profile well and dynamic lines running through the car. This makes it look like a bigger car than it is.

The design of the headlights and the grille have also changed. It looks like a smaller Passat now. The car gets 16-inch alloy wheels along with a lot of chrome inserts on the grille as well. For the Indian market, the Volkswagen Vento 2020 will be based on the locally developed MQB AO IN platform. This platform will also underpin the VW Taigun mid-sized SUV. The Indian Vento will have a different design for this as well.

Volkswagen Vento specifications include an entry-level 1.6-litre MPI four-cylinder petrol engine and a 1.4-litre turbocharged engine as well.

These come with a DSG gearbox. But for India, it will retain the same engine and transmission options as it is now offered with. These are the 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo that produces 109 bhp and 173 nm of torque. It also gets a torque converter instead of the famous DSG gearbox. The manual gearbox will also be offered.

Volkswagen 2020 Interiors

On the inside, it gets a minimalistic approach with large infotainment screens and soft-touch materials along with a redesigned dashboard as well. The dashboard will be dominated by a 10.25-inch Active info display and an 8-inch Composition Media floating touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Volkswagen 2020 Dimensions

In terms of proportions, the Volkswagen Vento 2020 is 4,483mm in length, 1,706 mm in width and 1,484 mm in height. The Vento will offer a boot space of 550-litres, which is 70-litres more than the previous model. The previous model was 4,390mm long, 1,699 wide and 1,467mm tall. The Volkswagen Vento 2020 was launched for Rs 8.37 lakhs when you convert the rates.
