Honda Activa 6G and TVS Jupiter are two hot cakes for their respective manufacturers. These two scooters are well known for the practicality it offers. Many of the customers are confused between these two scooters, well the blog will explain the merits and demerits of both the scooters. Design / Looks

Both the scooters are focused on the simplicity and neatness in design. Therefore, we will find much of the similarities between these scooters. Honda Activa 6G gets full LED headlamp unit while the Jupiter gets simple halogen headlamps. The Activa 6G has turn indicators on the headlamp unit while Jupiter has the indicators on the front body panel. Engine

Both the scooters are equipped with similar capacity 110 cc engines. Honda Activa 6G on one side produces around 7.6 bhp and 8.79 Nm of peak torque. While TVS Jupiter, on the other hand, produces around 7.8 bhp and 8.4 Nm of peak torque. Both these scooters have a fuel-injection system. It seems not much of the difference is present in terms of power, however, due to the low weight of TVS Jupiter, it has better acceleration over the Activa.

Hardware

Both the scooters are equipped with a similar level of hardware. Both of them do get telescopic suspension at the front and single hydraulic suspension at the rear. Braking duty for the Honda Activa 6G is done by the drum brakes for both wheels, while the Jupiter is equipped with disc-brake at the front and drum brake at the rear. Both these scooters have a combined braking system. The Honda Activa 6G gets steel wheels for both front and the rear while the Jupiter gets alloy wheels, which is again a plus point for Jupiter.  However, Honda Activa gets full metal body, that makes it very tough scooter but also increases weight simultaneously.

Honda Activa and TVS Jupiter have similar length. However, Activa gets the upper hand in terms of ground clearance on offer at 171 mm when compared with 150 mm of Jupiter. Honda Activa also has better legroom so it has better comfort over a long ride.

Features

TVS Jupiter and Honda Activa have an analogue speedometer, however, there’s small digital MID display in the Jupiter. Both the scooter has external fuel lid and also storage spaces for practicality. In the TVS Jupiter top model, we get a better quality seat treatment and also some of the premium looking elements.

Prices

The pricing for the Honda Activa 6G starts at Rs 65,535 (ex-showroom). Whereas the TVS Jupiter starts at Rs 63,230 (ex-showroom). Other scooters you can buy in this price segment are Suzuki Access and Hero Destini.
