With the November launch date looming up fast, Fiat seems to be putting its highly awaited Egea (Aegea) through its final paces. Production is reportedly underway in Turkey, and the Egea looks to be an exact replica to the Aegea concept from the outside.

On the inside, the flowing dashboard adds a premium touch, with lots of curvy lines and is further enhanced by silver accents that run along the the length of it. It comes fully loaded to the gills with features, with a five inch touch-screen display for the U-Connect infotainment system and automatic climate controls. Under the hood, the Egea will come with four engine options, split equally between petrol & diesel propulsion. Buyers for the former will have to choose from a 90 bhp, 1.4 litre petrol and those craving more power, could specify a 110 bhp, 1.6 litre motor. Diesel enthusiasts can choose between a 90 bhp Multijet II motor and the range topping 120 bhp. Fiat is expected to offer both, a six-speed manual as well as a six-speed automatic transmission as options.

It remains to be seen whether it will be this exciting new Egea or the Brazilian edition – Grand Sienna that will be the replacement for the aging Linea in Fiat’s Indian lineup.
