Datsun’s fourth product in line after its RediGO is a cross. Datsun is looking at unveiling it at the 2016 Auto Expo as the GO-CROSS or the GO-X (the internal name by the company), as stated by our sources. We had mentioned in our previous story about a crossover and our sources have confirmed the existence of one. This will be the fourth product from the Japanese automaker in its budget brand. “ The GO-CROSS will be a crossover and the fourth product under Datsun,” stated a source close to the company operations who didn’t want to reveal his identity. The RediGO will have SUV-like stance, with a ground clearance of about 180-190mm and this will be one of the strong points of this compact SUV.

This will be launched in 2017 and will be based on the new CMF-A platform that Renault and Nissan have jointly developed. The first product from this platform is the newly launched Kwid. There is still no clarity if this vehicle will be a five-seater or a 5+2, but ideally it should be a five-seater as the GO+ is going well for Nissan and they will not want to disturb the sales of this compact MUV.

Datsun isn’t too far from launching the RediGO and this will be the company’s next major launch and their third product too. The RediGO will be the first compact SUV and another segment first for Datsun. We approached Nissan for a statement on this, however we are yet to get an answer on it.
