One of the styling USP’s of the Avventura has been the rear-mounted wheel on a frame before you open the tail gate. This does make the Avventura look stylish, however the task to access the boot is a bit difficult.

As the wheel is mounted on a frame, first one has to slide the frame and then pop the hatch.

From what we understand, Fiat is at the moment under talks if they should consider removing the spare wheel from the back and placing it inside the car (as there is already a well for the tyre).

The Avventura is based on the Punto Evo and on the inside both are the same, except for some additional features that are offered on the crossover. Then there is more ground clearance too for the Avventura. However, the process to open the boot is longer and that is why Fiat is considering removing the boot and changing the styling of the Avventura.

Fiat had recently introduced the Abarth 595 and the Fiat Linea Elegante. At the moment, there are no plans to introduce any new Fiat models, but the Abarth Punto Evo will be coming our way by this October. It will be officially launched just before Diwali. The Abarth Punto will be powered by a 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine that will produce 145bhp of power and will come mated to a five-speed manual transmission.
