A test mule of the Tata Aria-based Hexa SUV was spotted testing on the Mumbai-Pune expressway for the first time. The Hexa is the upcoming SUV / Crossover by Tata Motors.

We were the first to reveal the name – Hexa, of this concept SUV based on the Tata Aria, which debuted at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, earlier this year. The vehicle which was spotted by Powerdrift, measures 4,764mm in length, 1,895mm in width and 1,780mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,850mm. The SUV will boast of newly designed projector headlamps, a honeycomb grille and new bumper with fog lamps.

The company plans to launch the Hexa later this year, during the festive season, however, it will reach showrooms only by early 2016. The Hexa will sport features like touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth, reverse parking camera, six airbags, ABS and a lot more features.

The Hexa will be coming with a 2.2-litre diesel engine that will be producing about 165bhp of power and 400Nm of peak torque. A five-speed manual transmission will be mate to it as well as a six-speed ZF automatic transmission.
