Tata Motors will be introducing the Kite twins this year sometime around August. One of our sources suggests that the company has registered four names that include Buck, Razzle, Haze and Woo. Now, our sources confirm that Glade isn’t likely to the name of the Kite twins.

Buck stands for the small member of a family, while Razzle means to enjoy life, Haze is a slight obscuration of the lower atmosphere, typically caused by fine suspended particles and Woo stands for seek the favour, support, or custom of. The first two look a lot likely names than the latter ones. The Kite 4 and the Kite 5 as they are codenamed will fill in the gap between the Indica/Indigo family and the Bolt/Zest. Tata Motors will have three compact sedans of which the Indigo eCS will be primarily for commercial purposes.

Tata Motors Kite twins will be launched before the festive season and these will be powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine and 1.05-litre diesel engine. The petrol will be a part of the Revotron engine family, however it will produce about 70bhp of power and won’t be turbocharged. It will have multi-drive modes too, maybe not as many as the Bolt. The diesel is an all-new engine, which is one-cylinder minus the current 1.

The Kite’s interiors are inspired from the Zest and Bolt, and majority of it is parts sharing.

The Kite will get the same steering wheel too and the space will be similar to that on the Indica/Indigo, as there will not any change in the dimensions at least on the inside. The suspension has been tweaked majorly for better ride and handling.
