Fiat will introducing the Punto and Avventura with 133bhp 1.4-litre T-Jet engines, but it will be with the Abarth badge. If the Abarth 500 comes to India, it will be CKD and even expect Fiat to get 500 as CKD in the future (not confirmed though). But the Punto Evo and the Avventura will be launched in the next six months. In other developed markets, Punto is sold with this engine with a Fiat badge, however it is India that will get it with Abarth badging. The pricing of this Punto and the Avventura will be competitive and it should be between Rs 9.5-11 lakhs (on-road).

Fiat is looking at increasing its product portfolio and even getting two new brands to India, first is Abarth and the second is Jeep. For the Jeep brand, this year the Grand Cherokee will be making its way. Then next year it is the Wrangler and the Renegade (the C-SUV) from Jeep that will be made available in India.

Jeep will be looking at manufacturing Renegade in India and making the Ranjangaon plant, its new export hub.

In 2017, the X3U platform will be utilised to make a new hatchback, sedan and SUV.

The SUV will get the Jeep badging and also one on the Fiat platform at a later stage. The new hatchback and sedan will replace the currently sold Punto Evo and Linea. There is no confirmation if the Linea will be discontinued or will be continued to be sold as Linea Classic. At the moment, Fiat has five products in its line-up, which by the end of this year will be eight at least.
