2017 Chevrolet Trailblazer facelift

Chevrolet had launched the Trailblazer in India, now it is time for the 2017 Chevrolet Trailblazer facelift to make its way. This upgraded version will make it competitive against the heavyweights like the Ford Endeavour and the new Toyota Fortuner too. 2017 Chevrolet Trailblazer facelift Design

The Trailblazer always looks muscular and large in size. It always had presence, but somewhere it did show its age. With this facelift, the Trailblazer looks fresh. The new front grille with the golden bowtie does stand out.

Chevrolet has done a good job with the titivation of the SUV. The side profile isn’t much different. The rear too continues with similar design minor updates. It is majorly the face that stands out.

The Trailblazer’s interiors remain the same. Except for a new touchscreen system, which will be replaced in India too. The interiors will be all black this time around. The same three-spoke steering wheel will be offered with identical instrument cluster. There might be a beige and black once again for India, as it feels a lot more premium. There will be three rows of seating and there will be sufficient space in the first two rows.

In terms of features the Trailblazer will get touchscreen system with MyLink, rear AC vent, reverse parking camera, navigation, dual airbags, ABS, ESP, EBD and leather seats.

2017 Chevrolet Trailblazer facelift Engine

Chevrolet will continue to offer 2.8-litre Duramax diesel engine. This churns close to 198bhp and will come with a six-speed automatic transmission. India will continue to get automatic transmission only and this will be coming only with 4×2 option to begin with. Later on, the 4×4 and the manual version should be launched.

The fuel efficiency of the Trailblazer isn’t very high, as it has a powerful engine, large size heavy weight chassis and an automatic. Buyers in this segment aren’t driven by fuel-efficiency either.

There won’t be a major change initially with regards to the pricing of the Trailblazer. However, Chevrolet will be looking at assembling it in India and thus reducing the cost. Only this will make the premium SUV competitive with its competition. Else, the American automaker will be targeting a very limited number of sales every month.
